About

The CRDSI is a university centre with representatives from two Faculties, a driving research force in health and agriculture that focuses on common, as well as complementary objectives. CRDI benefits from a privileged status since no other group of its kind is found in Canada and is very rare elsewhere in the world. Our Centre is composed mainly of research teams from the Medicine and Agricultural and Food Sciences Faculties of Laval University. The laboratories of CRDSI members from Laval University are found on three sites: the CHU de Québec Research Center-CHUL (CRCHU-CHUL), the Department of animal science of the Paul-Comtois building and the Institute of Nutrition and Functional Foods (INAF). In 2016, the CRDSI has extended its reach by integrating new members from outside Laval University, namely a team from the Biochemistry Department of University of Sherbrooke and another from the Armand-Frappier Research Centre of the Institut national de recherche scientifique.
